Teeth Whitening (Bleaching)

Teeth whitening is one of the most common cosmetic dental procedures requested by our clients today. It is a non-invasive method used to lighten and brighten the shade of your naturally existing teeth. At Livingston Dental Care, we provide you with a system which is clinically proven to produce the most effective results, accompanied with clear instructions on how to achieve this.

If a brighter whiter smile is what you hope to achieve, please ask one of our team members about our specials today. We always recommend a consultation, during which your individual smile can be assessed. We will go through what is involved, treatment costs, the possible side effects and limitations relevant to you, so you can have a realistic expectation of the results we hope to achieve together.

Veneers

Veneers are a thin tooth coloured facing bonded to the front of your tooth. They are an excellent option for treating teeth that are chipped, discoloured or slightly misaligned. Veneers can also be used to close gaps between your front teeth. Everyone’s needs are different, so we encourage you to come in for a consultation and discussion on whether veneers are suitable for you, or if there is a better alternative to achieve the same result. E.g. teeth whitening, orthodontics, crowns, etc

Crowns

A crown is a cap made of porcelain and/or metal alloy, which is designed to fully cover and restore the existing tooth. Crowns are usually recommended for teeth that are heavily broken down, decayed or cracked and can no longer be restored with just a filling.

They are a great way to protect very heavily filled teeth as a longer lasting option over repairing and re-repairing broken fillings. Crowns are also recommended for teeth that have had root canal treatment, where a substantial portion of healthy tooth has been lost, and additional protection is required.

Your dentist will assess the suitability of this option for you, based on factors such as your tooth’s history, your bite, and cosmetic requirements.
